Today’s the day that I launch the web design site – www.celestial-city.org – and start the full court press SEO program too.

Doing good SEO takes time, but a lot of the components you can do ahead of time to make for a faster launch.  For example, I have code ready, all the tags are good, now I just have to start tying in various other SEO elements to give some juice to the beast that’s been created.  The outcome???  I can get a site listed in the search engines for at least some of the keywords TODAY.  Some of the keywords that have more competition will take longer and I know that I will have to redo quite a bit, but that’s part of the process.  Keywords with a lot of competition need to be looked at each day, those with less – well, less often.

In any case, today will be a busy day.  Lots to do, more graphics to make, more tags to look at, and of course I have to finish my overall messaging and get that live too.  Then I just have to sit back and wait for folks to contact me.  — NOT — When you do a push like this, you’ve got to get the word out, find folks that need your services and present the elevator pitch, etc.  That’s what I’ll be doing for a week or so.

This website is addicting, I can’t go to bed becuase I need to know what’s coming up for the next product.  It’s like crab fishing and always wondering how many crab will be in the pot when you bring it up over the boat, or golfing bad for the first 17 holes and then making birdie on 18 and you can’t wait to come back out again.

Ok, it hit me the other day.  I was going about it all wrong.

1. I’ve got my own small network of websites and URLs and success stories.  I run GMTruckClub.com, one of the biggest Chevy Truck websites on the web, I have successfully built-up other sites as well … why not do it for a living? 
2. I have a solid network of folks that I’ve been working with on contract work, part-time projects, old corporate work and more … why not bring them into the loop for the piece of the action?  Together we cover the entire spectrum from Web Design, Graphic Design, Corporate and Product Marketing, eBusiness integration, eMarketing Integration, WEB 2.0, Social Media, Social Networking ….. we cover it all.
3. I think I know a thing or two about Search Engine Optimization, or so my Google Analytics account tells me.  One of the sites that I created/run has receiving 81,500 visits in the last month, that’s about 1 million visits per year if it keeps going (and it will probably increase actually…).

So I put it all together and decided to resurrect one of my old websites, which is www.celestial-city.org, one of the first website URLs that I ever registered, and low and behold I’ve got a web design, web marketing and SEO business!

Becuase I’ve been around for so long in the web-game, the last blog that I launched for myself was actually custom-coded.  Don’t mistake me for a second, I’ll still takeover the world, it will just take longer … oh and a copy of WordPress to do it too.
